HIGHRESO Combines AI Data Center Expansion with Local Workforce Training in Akita

HIGHRESO, a provider of GPU cloud services, will establish an AI data center in Oga City, Akita Prefecture. The facility will repurpose the former Haraido Elementary School and will mark the company’s fifth data center site.

The company is promoting AI data center development through a proprietary model that collaborates with local governments to repurpose closed schools and underutilized facilities, thereby reducing environmental impact. Beyond operating the data center, HIGHRESO also aims to contribute to regional industrial development and digital workforce training, continuing to work with local authorities by offering initiatives such as programming classes.
